25th Ashbourne Highland Gathering

To celebrate our silver jubilee, we have arranged some additional entertainment on the days preceding the gathering on Sunday 19th July 2009.

Friday July 17th - The Chris Dewhurst Ceilidh Band

Event will take place at the Empire Ballroom from 7.30pm to 11pm.

Saturday July 18th - Red Hot Chilli Pipers & Clanadonia are in Ashbourne

On the Saturday 18th July on the night before the Gathering a special one off concert will take place featuring the Red Hot Chilli Pipers, supported by Clanadonia. Bagpipes with attitude. Drums with a Scottish accent. A blazing rock band and a show so hot it carries its own health warning.

The Red Hot Chilli Pipers have been rocking the world from New York to Beijing with musicianship of the highest order and a passion for pipes that will leave you breathless.

Opening the show are Clanadonia, a Tribal Pipes and Drums band, steeped in the Pictish/Celtic traditions of Scotland. They will always keep it Tribal and will endeavour to provide a Traditional experience that is second to none!
