Gathering Is Scheduled For Sunday 20th July 2008
The 24th Ashbourne Highland Gathering offers something for the whole family
to enjoy in the heart of the Peak District. The show starts at 10AM (Gates
are open from 9.30AM), with 8 hours of entertainment & competitions.
In the main arena we have Geoff Capes & his international team of strongmen
who compete on traditional challenges of Tossing The Cabar, Throwing The Hammer,
& lifting the massive Manhood Stones etc. Paws For Thought Dog Display Team, All
England Pipe Championship, Drum Majors Display, Vintage Tractors, Vintage Cars &
a display of the famous Band Of The 24th Invicta Rifles. |
