Ashbourne Highland Gathering
Sunday 18th July 2010
Plans are well in hand for the 2010 Gathering and the entertainment is booked. See the announcement below and the entertainment page.
We are thinking of designating the 2010 event as the 25th +1 Gathering after the enforced last minute cancellation in 2009.
Inevitably some upset was caused by the cancellation but the most overwhelming reaction was concern that this would put an end to the Ashbourne Highland Gathering. This combined with a number of our traders and suppliers electing to not have their monies returned but carry them over to next year, resolved the committee to carry on. We thank you for your support and look forward to seeing our friends old and new in July.

Saturday 17th July 2010 will see the return of the Red Hot Chilli Pipers to Ashbourne.
The fates conspired to dampen down our 25th Anniversary celebrations in 2009 but we did manage to stage the Red Hot Chilli Pipers concert on the Saturday Night.
The audience enjoyed it so much we were asked to bring them back.
The committee enjoyed it so much we agreed.
We also realised that because of the cancellation of the Gathering that many people missed the opportunity to see this unique piping sensation. Tickets will go on sale early in the New Year subject to the granting of the entertainment licence.
